Im in Killeen Tx, and I normally use chalk ridge falls as my personal space.

There is plenty of area away from the main trail, just takes 20 minutes to walk there.

Are there regulations for fire besides a county burn ban?

No, its actually a very rarely used camp site. It even has a fire ring.
